Mawuli is an Investment Banker/Private Equity specialist with over 30 years of transactional experience in Africa who worked for SIFIDA Investment Company, Switzerland (now BNP Paribas SIFIDA), the African Development Bank and the UK Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC). He was CDC’s first Ghanaian Private Equity Fund Manager, successfully investing their first investment fund in several profitable Ghanaian SMEs.
A serial entrepreneur, with 20 years in the Ghanaian financial sector, he co-founded his own investment banking firm which was involved in several privatisation and corporate finance transactions in Ghana, eventually owning a leading microfinance business.
Mawuli is the Managing Partner of PCM Capital Advisors, a private equity firm which currently manages the US$ 50 million West Africa Emerging Markets Growth Fund (WAEMGF). Having previously served on the Boards of several listed and unlisted companies (including two banks) he is currently a Director of PCP Capital Partners, Non- Executive Director of Gold Fields Ghana Ltd, Non-Executive Director of Abosso Goldfields Ltd, Non-Executive Director of Total Petroleum Ghana Ltd and a Director of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France Ghana (CCIFG).
Mawuli has a Master’s degree in International Business and Economic Development from the University of Reading UK and a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from the University of Keele UK. He is fluent in English and French.
